Course description:

Learning Outcomes/Objectives: At the end of the course, Students should be able to: Understand the basic policies of urban planning and the procedure of making models for the representation of the design on paper. Understand different planning model materials both sourced locally and modern. Understand the proportionality of different planning materials used in making models. 

This course includes the following lecture themes: A practical class devoted to the construction of physical models. Building on the experience gained in URP 312 and URP 322. Model making techniques. Tools and materials for model making, with emphasis on local materials and tools. Use and care of tools. Workshop practices. Three-dimensional planning models. A practical model. 

Methods of Instruction: 

  1. a) Studio Work b) Tutorials c) Field Work d) Term Paper and Seminar Presentation)
